Context

Concept and execution
The interior design of the house is airy and enables an axis of visibility that crosses the ground floor from the living room terrace to the kitchen. Access is made through a square hallway that gives the feeling of a cube, which connects other functions of the dwelling.

The ground floor houses the day area, comprising the living room to the left of the lobby, which communicates with the outdoor through a glazed wall. The kitchen can be accessed from the right side of the hallway; the arrangement of the kitchen is a closed one through pivoting glass doors. Passionate about cooking, the clients put a lot of importance to this area. Even the dedicated dining area is in the squared kitchen, which is separated from the garden by a glazed surface, allowing to eat outside and when desired. From this space one can access the utility room and the cellar positioned under the kitchen.

First floor comprises the master bedroom that includes a spacious dressing room, child’s bedroom and a multifunctional space, which can be easily turned into a guestroom or an office.

The exterior volume of the building was divided in two horizontal contrasting registers: ground floor with plywood stone (slate) and outgoing or withdrawn volumes and the floor, a white prism thought out with the console to protect large surfaces and access areas.

For a better thermal efficiency, the housing benefits of floor heating.
